About NUP

National University of Pakistan (NUP) is a federally chartered public sector university. It is a unique initiative with multi-disciplinary scope which provides equal opportunity to large segment of students, from lower and lower-middle income groups in pursuit of their higher education. As a national institution, NUP plays a vital role in fostering national unity by affiliating with 26 Federal Government Colleges across Pakistan, thereby promoting educational integration and collaboration among provinces.

The University aims at achieving excellence in the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in the fields of natural and applied sciences, engineering and emerging technologies, management sciences, computing, social sciences, arts and humanities, and other such branches of knowledge by contributing significantly to Pakistan's national development goals.
