BS(04 Years)/08 semesters PROGRAMME:

Department of Mathematics offers admission in BS(04 years) programme in Fall semester every year commencing in first week of September following the SoP laid down in the admission policy and approved by PMU.

The admission Committee(s), while recommending the candidates for admission shall pay due consideration to the following:

  1. a) Students failed in one or more subjects shall not be allowed to take admission in 1st Semester of Degree, Postgraduate or BS classes.
  2. b) Students placed in “E” grade in HSSC/B.Sc. exam shall not be allowed admission in 1st semester/1st Year in any faculty.
  3. c) Candidates who obtain less than 45% in the last examination passed shall not be allowed admission to Degree Part-I or BS 1st Semester.
  4. d) General conditions as well as conditions specific to particular faculty or subject for admission to the Degree, BS and Postgraduate Level shall be in accordance with those set by the concerned University for the relevant level, faculty or subject.
  5. e) No regular admission in any class shall be allowed to a candidate who has already passed equivalent examination in another faculty / group or subject.

SCHEME OF STUDIES BS(04 Years) PROGRAMME:

The candidate seeking admission in BS (Mathematics) Program, must meet the following eligibility criterion.
  • Intermediate with Mathematics, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Any other examination of a University / Institution / Examining Body, equivalent to Intermediate with Mathematics. Equivalence and percentage of marks will be determined by IBCC.
  • Diploma of Associate Engineering Examination, securing at least 60% marks inaggregate.
BS (Mathematics) is a 128 credit hours program of studies spread over eight semesters. The domains and the number of courses and their credit hours assigned to these domains are asfollows.
